Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid regular passport, aged between 18 and 45 (inclusive), and must be in good health, both physically and mentally. All applicants must comply with the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China.

2 Academic Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: 
(1) Be an upcoming graduate of a bachelor's program and obtain the bachelor's degree prior to enrollment in the year of admission. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of the admission offer, or 
(2) Already hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

3 Language Proficiency
For Chinese-taught programs: A minimum score of 180 on the HSK Level 5 test is required.

*1. Police Clearance Certificate
A Police Clearance Certificate, known in other names such as Police Certificate, Criminal History Record Check, certifying that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the police force. Please go to your local police authority where you reside, request that the police conduct a local or state criminal records search and provide you with a document reflecting that there is no history of a criminal record. The Police Clearance Certificate should be dated within the last 6 months. If you are unable to maintain such a document due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact Admission Office as early as possible for alternative documentation.
*2. Guarantee of Financial Support
Your personal sponsor should be able to provide full financial support for your educational and living expenses for the entire length of study at SUFE. Ask your personal sponsor to complete the appropriate sections of the form and provide a scanned copy of his/her passport, or ID card of the sponsor is of Chinese nationality. The form you submit must:
Provide correct and complete information
Include with the signature of the sponsor, and
Be written in English or Chinese

*3. Foreigner's Physical Examination Report (required if you plan to apply for scholarship)
The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the“Foreigner Physical Examination Form”. The form you submit must:
Include with the signature of the attending physicians
Include with the official stamp of the hospital
Include with a sealed photograph of the applicant
Be written in English, and
Be dated within the last 6 months.
Please keep the original reports with you for later use when you register at the University.

If you have studied or are currently studying at an institution in China, please upload your transcripts, completion certificates, or proof of enrollment, etc.; If you have never studied in China yet, please upload your personal resume.

Your passport should be valid beyond January 31, 2027.
*8. Photo
Please use the photo taken within the last 6 months. The head in the photograph must be facing the camera straight on, and the face may not be obscured. The photo itself must be in color, but the background needs to be white or blue. Head coverings are prohibited.
*9. Bachelor academic transcript
You need to apply with academic transcript for all the courses taken from bachelor year one. It would be appreciated that the transcript is attached with a clarification on the grading system and how your GPA is calculated.
Certified English/Chinese translations are required if the original documents are neither in English nor in Chinese.
*10. Bachelor degree certificate
If you are in the final year, please upload a certificate indicating the entry and the expected completion date.

*11. Two reference letters
The letters should come from professors/associate professors, be recent, dated, in English/Chinese, and with referee's contact details (employer, position, email, phone number).
*12. Personal statement
It should be written in the instrcutional language of your intended program, 800-1000 words including the applicant's education (and working experience, if applicable), study plan, etc. and enclosed with the applicant's signature.
Tips: For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
